Our villa is located by the sea in the Hérault department, in Grau d'Agde, a small fishing village between the beach and the river.

 

This region, blessed with 300 days of sunshine a year, is full of a wide variety of tourist sites to suit everyone's holiday desires.

 

We will be able to advise you on how to make your stay in Occitanie, our favorite region for over 30 years, one of memorable vacation memories!

Only 1.5 hours from Spain and 2 hours from the Pyrenees .

A region full of discoveries

Located between 20 minutes and 1 hour from Agde, these sites offer a superb diversity of landscapes and cultures:

– Sète (Georges Brassens' hometown, with its canals, fishing and commercial port, and the magnificent panorama of Mont Saint-Clair)

– Pézenas (Molière's hometown, rich in crafts)

– Béziers and its majestic cathedral overlooking the Orb River, its listed botanical garden, and its remarkable historic center

– Marseillan and its charming little port

– Bouzigues and its legendary oysters from the Thau Lagoon

– Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert (a very picturesque village)

– Minerve (a medieval village listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France)

– Roquebrun and its canoeing

– Olargues (a remarkable medieval village in the heart of the Hauts Cantons)

– Valmagne Abbey (remarkable A 12th-century Cistercian abbey, famous for its cloister and medieval garden

- The Canal du Midi and its legendary 9 Locks of Fonseranes (a masterpiece of hydraulic engineering, an impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site)

- The Cirque de Mourèze (a spectacular geological site with sculpted dolomitic rocks)

- Lake Salagou (a lake with unique volcanic landscapes and red earth)

- The Salins du Midi (salt marshes with pink hues and salt mountains, an iconic Camargue site)

- The Clamouse and Demoiselles caves (spectacular underground sites, featuring rare crystals and immense natural chambers)

- And of course, a multitude of vineyards to visit for wine lovers.

About an hour and a half away by car, don't miss Collioure, famous for its picturesque harbor, the Fauvist art trail (Matisse, Derain), Fort Saint-Elme, the Royal Castle, and of course, its Collioure-Banyuls AOC wines. A magical place for a day trip.


This way, you can easily explore the region while enjoying the mild, sunny seaside climate.

A trip to Sète - the Venice of the South with its canals - also known for its television series filming locations, as well as a trip on the Canal du Midi is a must.

The hinterland, with its small typical villages such as St Guilhem le Désert and its natural beauties (Clamouse caves, Salagou lake, etc.), will seduce you with its legendary character and charm.

Pézenas , the town of Molière, is also not to be missed, its charm and its artisans will not leave you indifferent!

If you're looking for a more urban holiday, the bustle of Montpellier - with its historic heart and museums - is just a 45-minute drive away.

For your festive evenings, Cap d'Agde, 10 minutes away, offers a casino, nightclubs and a funfair.

The superb Cap d'Agde golf course is just 10 minutes away for an introduction, a lesson, or a 9- or 18-hole round. The golf course has 27 holes, offering several course combinations, in a magnificent setting.
